Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our ambitious team at Bruin. 🚀

In this role, you will be responsible for building different parts of our end-to-end data platform, and help shaping the future of data world together. You will work closely with the founding team to ensure our data infrastructure is robust, reliable, and capable of handling large-scale data processing in a secure and efficient manner.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data platforms that align with Bruin’s growth and technical objectives.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align the data platform roadmap with business goals.
  • Contribute to our open-source tooling, such as Bruin CLI, ingestr, and more.
  • Optimize existing data infrastructure to improve performance, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to design and implement cloud-based data solutions.
  • Automate data workflows and monitoring to ensure high data availability and rapid issue resolution.
  • Continuously improve the data platform’s performance, scalability, and security to meet evolving business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Lead initiatives for platform scalability, performance tuning, security, compliance, and optimization of big data solutions.

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Golang
  • Strong expertise with Kubernetes & Docker
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data platform engineering
  • Solid understanding of real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience building APIs & production systems, not just ETL workflows

 

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
