Project Finance Manager

Çalık Enerji is operating in Romania, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq and Senegal with its 3 fields of activity; EPC Contracting Operations, Distribution-Retail and Renewable Energy Investments.
We are looking for a "Project Finance Manager" to be assigned to our international projects;
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable institution; MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree is highly preferred,
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project or structured finance, with a proven track record in executing renewable energy transactions across multiple geographies,
- In-depth knowledge of project finance structures, capital stack optimization, and risk-sharing mechanisms tailored to clean energy projects,
- Solid understanding of international frameworks such as green bonds, climate finance, blended finance models, and E&S-compliant financing practices,
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and negotiations with institutional investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), export credit agencies (ECAs), and government bodies,
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus,
- Global mindset, cross-cultural agility, and flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of bankable financing strategies for renewable energy assets including solar PV, onshore wind, hydro, and grid-connected storage projects,
- Originate, structure, and negotiate complex financing transactions with international financial institutions, development banks, export credit agencies, and commercial lenders,
- Develop and manage robust financial models to assess project feasibility, optimize capital structures, and inform internal investment decisions,
- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, board presentations, and documentation for both internal committees and external partners,
- Oversee the full financing lifecycle — from initial due diligence through to financial close and post-close compliance,
- Track and evaluate global/regional policy shifts, regulatory frameworks, and climate finance mechanisms impacting the renewable energy landscape,
- Contribute to the company’s strategic growth across target geographies, with particular focus on the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the Baltics,
- Liaise with multilateral and bilateral financing bodies to ensure project alignment with ESG and sustainability criteria, including OECD Common Approaches and IFC Performance Standards,
- Mentor and support junior finance professionals, fostering internal development and technical growth within the team.
