Legal Counsel
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to be assigned to one of our group companies.
Job Description
- Manage and conduct all domestic and international legal matters
- Provide comprehensive legal consultancy to the Company and its subsidiaries on a wide range of legal issues;
- Draft, review, revise and negotiate contracts and other legal documents in Turkish and English;
- Take an active role in M&A transactions, and all other strategic and/or daily corporate matters;
- Provide legal support particularly in the areas of Commercial Law, Corporate Law and Contracts;
- Manage and follow up litigation and enforcement proceedings, including coordination with external counsel;
- Prepare and analyze legal opinions, memoranda and reports and present them to management when required;
- Closely monitor and ensure compliance with industry-specific laws and regulations relevant to the [●] sector;
- Provide high-quality, efficient and solution-oriented legal support to all group companies;
- Manage the intellectual property rights portfolio of the Company and its subsidiaries (trademarks, patents, etc.);
- Support and, where applicable, contribute to compliance-related matters (corporate governance and regulatory compliance), which would be considered a plus.
- Manage relationships with external law firms and legal advisors, including budget and performance oversight;
- Lead and assume responsibility for all other matters within the scope of the Legal Department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a leading Turkish university; Master’s degree is an asset;
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, preferably gained at a multinational company and/or a reputable law firm;
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Contracts, Labor Law and Litigation;
- Proven experience in M&A transactions and complex commercial negotiations;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with strong legal drafting and negotiation skills (mandatory);
- Dynamic, self-motivated and solution-oriented mindset;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks from a commercial perspective;
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player;
- Ability to perform effectively under high workload and time pressure;
- Strong follow-up, time management and attention to detail;
- Proficient in MS Office applications;
- No restriction for domestic or international travel;
- For male candidates, military service must be completed.
