Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of marine construction works including dredging, piling, quay wall construction, and FSRU mooring systems.
- Coordinate marine logistics, including vessel mobilization, marine spread, and offshore construction sequencing.
Team & Contractor Management:
- Supervise marine subcontractors and ensure alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of marine and onshore works.
Technical Oversight:
- Review and approve marine method statements, risk assessments, and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with marine engineering standards, classification society requirements, and environmental regulations.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies during all marine operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks for marine crews.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Interface with port authorities, maritime regulators, and environmental agencies.
- Support permitting processes and ensure compliance with local and international maritime laws.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track progress of marine works and report to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of marine activities, incidents, and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in marine construction, with at least 3 years in LNG or FSRU projects.
- Strong knowledge of offshore construction techniques, marine equipment, and vessel operations.
- Familiarity with international marine codes and standards (e.g., IMO, OCIMF, DNV).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
