Qa / Qc Inspector - Mechanical Electrical Works
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections of mechanical works, including fit-up, welding, alignment, bolting, pressure testing, and equipment installation.
* Review and verify material certificates, welding procedures, and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
* Monitor fabrication, installation, and testing to ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and project requirements.
* Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic tests, flushing, cleaning, and mechanical completion activities.
* Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), issue punch lists, and follow up on corrective actions.
* Coordinate with construction, engineering, HSE, and third-party inspectors.
* Prepare detailed inspection reports and contribute to final quality dossiers and as-built documentation.
* Support audits and ensure documentation is complete for system handover.
Qualifications:
* Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 5+ years QA/QC experience in mechanical construction, with at least 2 years offshore.
* Certified in relevant inspection disciplines (e.g., CSWIP 3.1, ASNT Level II, API 570/510 preferred).
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in offshore environments (e.g., piping, vessels, pumps).
* Familiar with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, AWS, DNV).
* Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, test reports, and welding documentation.
* Good communication and documentation skills; able to work in multicultural teams.
