Accountant Chief (Gdansk)
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the designated Accountant for the Joint Venture (JV), managing all financial operations and compliance obligations.
* Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping in accordance with Polish accounting standards and JV contractual requirements.
* Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including cost tracking and cash flow analysis.
* Oversee tax, payroll, and statutory obligations in coordination with local authorities and external auditors.
* Support budget planning and financial forecasting, aligned with the EPC contract framework.
* Establish and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures.
* Coordinate with GAP and partner company finance teams for transparent and consolidated financial reporting.
* Provide financial insights and data to senior management.
* Ensure confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility in managing all JV financial documentation.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record in managing financial operations for Joint Ventures or multi-partner structures.
* In-depth knowledge of Polish accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting obligations.
* Fluency in Polish and English (both written and spoken) is **mandatory**.
* Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a strong asset.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
* Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, or EPC projects is preferred.
