We are currently seeking for a Lifting Supervisor to join our team in Gdańsk, Poland, as part of a consortium delivering prestigious Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Terminal Project, an international energy investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily lifting operations, including heavy lifts, vessel lifts, subsea equipment handling and structural installations
- Ensure lifting activities are conducted according to approved lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements
- Inspect lifting equipment (e.g., cranes, slings, shackles) and verify valid certifications
- Lead toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; enforce permit-to-work and HSE procedures
- Monitor rigging crew performance and ensure safe rigging practices are followed
- Coordinate with barge masters, crane operators, engineers and offshore supervisors
- Stop unsafe lifting operations and initiate corrective actions when needed
- Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, checklists and incident reports
Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification
- Recognized Lifting Supervisor certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore lifting operations, including heavy lifts
- Strong understanding of offshore lifting standards (e.g., LOLER, IMCA, API RP 2D)
- Knowledge of rigging practices, crane operations, load charts and HSE procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to lead multinational lifting teams
