About Role
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our growing team.
What You Will Do
Improve Security Posture and Compliance of our Cloud and IT Systems:
- Evaluate, design, and implement best-in-class security solutions across our cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Develop and maintain secure architectures encompassing identity and access management (IAM), logging and monitoring, encryption, network security controls
- Manage and secure on-premises infrastructure, including configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, on-premises and cloud servers, and networks. Ensure robust network segmentation, continuous patching, and secure configurations to protect against internal and external threats.
- Keep abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Continuously research and recommend improvements to existing security controls, tools, and methodologies.
- Implement and maintain dashboards and reports to track security metrics, incident trends, and overall posture.
Security Assessments, Client Audits and Engagements:
- Conduct security assessments to evaluate risks and vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish, maintain, and improve compliance with ISO27001, SOC 2, and other relevant frameworks.
- Develop and manage documentation, policies and evidence required for audits, ensuring a smooth certification or attestation process.
- Respond to client questionnaires regarding security posture and practices, providing clear and comprehensive technical details.
- Present the organization’s security strategy, framework, and processes to clients and stakeholders in meetings and workshops.
- Act as a primary point of contact for security-related client inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Translate complex security concepts into clear, understandable terms to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work closely with devops and development teams to incorporate secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles in the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure patch management, system hardening, and secure configuration practices are followed.
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to team members on security-related best practices.
- Participate in technical and user support on-call rotations within the Infra team.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Cyber Security Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), network architecture, network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud platforms) and expertise in DevOps & DevSecOps
- Familiarity with security tools like SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), endpoint detection and response (EDR), identity and access management (IAM) systems
- Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Competency in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell or any other scripting language for automating security tasks, analyzing malware, and developing secure applications.
- Experience with compliance frameworks and audits such as ISO27001:2022, SOC1 and SOC2
- Experience in security risk assessment and risk management processes
- Knowledge of end-user device management and security; experience with MDM, or similar endpoint security tools
- Ability to design and conduct phishing simulation campaigns and analyze the results to implement measures that improve user awareness.
