Senior Technical Account Manager – AWS

Position: Senior Technical Account Manager – AWS

Location: Dubai, UAE

Level: Senior

Description

Kloia is a Premier AWS Consulting Partner and a leading consultancy specializing in Cloud, DevOps, Application Modernization, Generative AI, FinOps, and Observability.

As we continue to expand our presence across the UAE and the wider Middle East, we are looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.

This is not a traditional sales-only or support-focused account management role. You will combine technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and executive-level relationship management to proactively identify customer needs, manage risks, coordinate the right teams, and help customers achieve long-term value from their cloud investments.

What does a Senior Technical Account Manager do?

At Kloia, a Senior Technical Account Manager acts as the strategic and technical owner of the customer relationship.

You will work closely with a selected portfolio of SMB and enterprise customers across the UAE and Middle East, building trusted relationships with executives and technical stakeholders. Rather than simply escalating customer issues, you will proactively become involved, understand the wider business and technical context, provide high-level troubleshooting and architectural guidance, and coordinate the relevant Kloia, AWS, and vendor teams.

You will connect customer objectives with cloud transformation opportunities, identify renewal and expansion risks early, and ensure that each account has a clear technical and commercial roadmap.

As a Senior Technical Account Manager you will:

  • Own and develop a portfolio of approximately 3–8 strategic customer accounts across the UAE and Middle East
  • Build trusted relationships with executive, business, procurement, and technical stakeholders
  • Develop strategic account plans and cloud transformation roadmaps aligned with customer priorities
  • Proactively identify technical risks, operational challenges, and growth opportunities
  • Provide high-level technical guidance and troubleshooting instead of only escalating issues to delivery teams
  • Coordinate Sales, Delivery, Operations, Finance, Procurement, AWS, and other vendor channels
  • Lead regular customer health reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Track customer objectives, actions, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes
  • Support contract renewals, account retention, service adoption, and account expansion
  • Identify opportunities where Kloia’s Cloud, DevOps, FinOps, Observability, Modernization, and Managed Services capabilities can create additional value
  • Translate complex technical topics into clear business outcomes and recommendations
  • Work closely with solution architects, pre-sales consultants, and delivery teams throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Maintain visibility over customer satisfaction and act early when risks or concerns emerge

What would an average day look like?

Your day may begin with a review of customer health, open actions, renewal risks, and ongoing delivery activities across your account portfolio. You might then meet with a customer’s technology leadership team to discuss cloud costs, security priorities, an upcoming migration, or the next phase of their transformation roadmap.

Later, you could work with Kloia’s delivery and architecture teams to troubleshoot a high-level technical issue, prepare a Quarterly Business Review, coordinate an AWS vendor engagement, or build the business case for a new cloud transformation initiative.

Direct communication with customer executives and technical stakeholders will be a regular part of the role. You will be expected to keep multiple teams aligned, provide clarity during complex situations, and ensure that customer needs are addressed proactively rather than reactively.

Who should apply?

This role is suited to an experienced Technical Account Manager or enterprise technology account leader who understands both the commercial and technical sides of long-term customer relationships.

You should be comfortable discussing AWS architecture, governance, security, observability, DevOps, and cost optimization with technical teams while also communicating business value, risks, and investment priorities to senior executives.

You are not expected to personally implement every solution, but you should have enough technical depth to understand the customer’s environment, challenge assumptions, contribute to high-level solution discussions, and bring the right specialists into the process.

You take ownership, build trust over time, and do not wait for customer concerns to become escalations before taking action.
