Description

Position: Technical DevOps Delivery Manager (Cloud / DevOps)

Location: Remote / EMEA

Level: Medior / Senior

Kloia is a Premier AWS Consulting Partner and a leading consultancy specializing in DevOps, Cloud-Native Platforms, Application Modernization, GenAI, and Observability.

In addition to consulting, Kloia builds B2D cloud-native products. We are looking for technically strong Technical DevOps Delivery Managers who deeply understand modern Cloud and DevOps practices and can confidently lead delivery in highly technical environments.

At Kloia, a Technical DevOps Delivery Manager is not a purely process-driven role. This is a technically accountable position where you are expected to understand architecture, challenge design decisions when needed, and act as a trusted technical counterpart to engineers, architects, and customers.

You will work closely with development teams, platform engineers, architects, and stakeholders to maximize Return on Investment while ensuring solutions are cloud-native, scalable, secure, and operable.

What does a Technical DevOps Delivery Manager do?

As a Technical DevOps Delivery Manager at Kloia, you are accountable for both delivery outcomes and technical correctness.

You are responsible for owning and prioritizing the product or delivery backlog, defining requirements with clear technical acceptance criteria, and ensuring backlog items are technically feasible, well-scoped, and cloud-native.

You guide teams toward the right architectural and operational decisions and unblock engineers by understanding the underlying technical challenges, not simply escalating them.

As a Technical DevOps Delivery Manager you will:

  • Own and manage the backlog with clear technical and business prioritization
  • Define requirements yourself or collaborate with architects and engineers to define them correctly
  • Ensure features align with cloud-native best practices
  • Balance speed, cost, scalability, security, and operability
  • Research and analyze similar tools, platforms, and products in the Cloud and DevOps ecosystem
  • Identify technical differentiators and gaps
  • Perform technical comparisons including architecture, scalability, operational model, and security
  • Define API contracts, integration requirements, and system-level UI expectations
  • Confidently discuss Kubernetes architecture, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and security or compliance requirements
  • Actively guide developers with technically meaningful input
  • Ask the right technical questions during refinement and planning
  • Ensure work items are clear, testable, and deployable
  • Collaborate daily with engineers and stakeholders

What would an average day look like?

You will review backlog items for technical clarity and completeness, discuss architecture and implementation approaches with engineers, and validate whether solutions align with cloud-native and DevOps principles.

You may evaluate competitive cloud-native tools and platforms, participate in technical demos and customer discussions, and continuously follow emerging Cloud, Kubernetes, and DevOps trends.

Typical technical challenges may include comparing cloud-native platforms, reviewing or configuring a Kubernetes cluster via a UI or dashboard, understanding how PCI-DSS and compliance requirements apply in Kubernetes environments, and reasoning about networking models, security boundaries, scalability, cost, and operational impact.

Although it varies from customer to customer, the typical stack is entirely cloud-native and includes AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and tools from the CNCF ecosystem.

Who should apply?

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable in highly technical conversations and has worked closely with Cloud, DevOps, or Platform teams.

You should understand how modern infrastructure and applications are built and operated, enjoy translating complex technical topics into clear business outcomes, and believe that Technical DevOps Delivery Managers should add technical value rather than only manage processes.

This all sounds great, what's it going to do for my career?

You will be exposed to cutting-edge cloud-native technologies at scale and contribute to products and solutions with global impact.

You will have the opportunity to grow both your technical depth and leadership capabilities in an environment that values solving problems at the right layer of the stack.

We encourage continuous learning and experimentation. Friday innovation time and hack days provide space to explore new ideas, technologies, and approaches beyond day-to-day delivery work.
