QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Textile Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in apparel sourcing and production.
- Proven experience in sourcing and production operations within Egypt's textile and apparel industry.
- Strong network of local manufacturers and suppliers in Egypt.
- Experience managing sourcing and production across multiple product categories with strong expertise in woven apparel.
- Solid background in international supplier management, commercial negotiations and cost optimization.
- Proven experience in establishing, developing and managing production operations.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Strong leadership, relationship management and organizational skills.
- Analytical, results-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
- Available to travel regularly to Egypt.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the setup and development of our sourcing and production operations in Egypt.
- Build, develop and maintain a strong and sustainable network of local manufacturers and suppliers.
- Lead commercial negotiations with local manufacturers regarding pricing, manufacturing capacity, lead times and commercial terms.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing and production processes, including the conversion of imported fabrics into finished garments in Egypt.
- Oversee the entire production lifecycle from order placement to shipment, ensuring quality, delivery, quantity and cost targets are achieved.
- Proactively identify and manage operational risks throughout the production process.
- Identify and develop alternative manufacturers and suppliers to improve cost efficiency, product quality and production capacity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and supplier performance.
- Travel regularly to Egypt to oversee production processes, manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, and ensure efficient production execution.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Egypt operations, provide regular reports to senior management, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
