AI Engineering Manager

We are currently looking for an AI Engineering Manager to lead and grow the team that builds and ships our production-grade agentic AI systems — someone who combines hands-on technical judgment with the people-leadership and delivery discipline to turn strong individual engineers into a high-performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead & Grow the AI Engineering Team: Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI Engineering team by leading hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development processes.

• Own Delivery & Execution: Take end-to-end ownership of multiple AI delivery projects, including planning, estimation, resource allocation, risk management, and successful project execution.

• Drive Technical Direction: Guide the architecture and implementation of production-grade Agentic AI, LLM, and RAG-based systems while providing technical leadership through design and code reviews.

• Engineering Excellence: Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, testing strategies, documentation, and reusable internal frameworks to improve delivery efficiency.

• Scalable AI Infrastructure: Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployment of AI solutions using modern cloud-native technologies, containerized environments, and GPU-optimized infrastructures.

• Enterprise AI Integration: Oversee seamless integration of AI solutions with enterprise systems, legacy infrastructures, APIs, and cloud platforms.

• AI Governance & Security: Promote responsible AI practices by implementing governance, monitoring, explainability, compliance, and security standards across AI solutions.

• Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Represent the engineering team during customer meetings, technical workshops, estimations, and pre-sales activities while communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Product, Data Engineering, Compliance, and Delivery teams to build AI solutions aligned with customer and business objectives.

• Innovation & Capability Building: Stay up to date with the latest developments in Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI technologies while fostering continuous learning and representing Prometa at conferences and customer innovation sessions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering, including at least 3 years of engineering management experience.

• Proven experience delivering production-grade AI/LLM solutions in enterprise environments.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of LLM engineering, RAG architectures, Agentic AI, prompt engineering, evaluation, and model optimization.

• Experience with microservices, APIs, messaging systems, and modern cloud-native architectures.

• Familiarity with MLOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and production AI deployments.

• Excellent leadership, planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and business audiences.

• Proven experience mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoGen.

• Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated industries such as banking, insurance, or telecommunications.

• Experience working in consultancy or multi-client delivery environments.

• Familiarity with real-time AI applications and conversational AI systems.

• Cloud platform and enterprise architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, Zachman) are a plus.
