In this role, you will hold a key position within our fast-growing and dynamic e-commerce ecosystem, actively participating in all commercial and legal processes of our company. Our legal team is positioned as a strategic partner supporting WorqCompany's global growth objectives. As part of an agile, innovative, and data-driven start-up culture, the ability to adapt to rapidly changing legal regulations and a proactive, solution-oriented approach are key to success in this role.
We are inviting applications from lawyers who have:
- 5+ PQE experience with both corporate matters of commercial, governance, investments, contracts, employment, data privacy, capital markets, real estate law fields,
- Worked in corporate law firms or other in-house teams (start-up or e-commerce company experience would be highly beneficial)
- Experience in managing cross-departmental legal and compliance projects,
- Strong academics, communication (in both Turkish and English languages) and IT skills.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with various internal departments (Sales, Product, Finance) and external stakeholders (regulators, external counsel).
- The ability to conduct quick and practical risk analysis in complex commercial scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Providing prompt, practical and accurate legal perspective and guidance, as well as risk assessment and mitigation on a wide range of legal issues,
- Drafting and negotiating commercial and transactional contracts in a fast-paced corporate environment,
- Managing the preparation, review, and negotiation processes for Supplier, Partner, and Customer contracts (in Turkish and English).
- Managing company law processes, board resolutions, and ordinary/extraordinary general assembly procedures.
- Providing legal support for potential investment rounds
- Enhancing legal awareness by organizing internal training sessions (e.g., Data Privacy, Competition Law).
- Provide legal support to the various internal departments,
- Handle communication with external stakeholders,
- Legal support on special projects that may arise.
